Maine Sat scores marginally up in perusing and math

Augusta, Maine (Ap) — Maine secondary school understudies are performing marginally better in math and perusing.

The Department of Education said Wednesday that 2 percent more understudies realized capability or above in perusing on the Sat in 2012 school year than in 2011.

In the ballpark of 48 percent of understudies tried capable or above in math in 2012, somewhat up from around the range of 47 percent in 2011.

Yet scores for composing and science are declining.

In the ballpark of 43 percent of understudies tried capable or above in composing in the 2012 school year contrasted with 47 percent in 2011. In the interim, the rate of people who tried capable or above in science dropped around the range of 6 percent.
